ERIE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Erie County Economic Development Corporation (ECEDC) is announcing the appointment of Peter H. Zaehringer as its new Executive Director.

Mr. Zaehringer was most recently an Administrator for the Summit County Executive’s Department of Community and Economic Development in Akron, Ohio. He was responsible for the creation of programs to enhance the lives of county citizens and businesses. Peter has over 15 years experience in business development, marketing and sales in for-profit and non-profit sectors. He is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Zynergy Global LLC. Zaehringer established Zynergy Global in 2009 to help increase economic and business development activities between Europe and North America, with a focus on Ohio.

"Peter has the leadership qualities and experience our Board was seeking. We conducted an extensive search that involved area community and business leaders in the interview process. Peter’s presentation rose to the top," explained Ted Kastor, Erie County Economic Development Board President. Kastor continued, "Peter is a true professional and brings a wealth of skills and has an international background that can only enhance his ability to attract and retain businesses to our county."
